Applied Kinesiology allows us to help those suffering from chronic health issues. These may include lyme disease, candida overgrowth, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS / IBD), SIBO, depression, chronic fatigue, Cyclic Vomitting Syndrome, dysmenorrhea and many more issues.

Applied Kinesiology also helps us properly evaulate the muscular system when one has a chronic body pain, acute situation or sports injury. We have used this technique among others to help people improve their quality of life, avoid surgery, and increase their athletic performance.

My name is Dr Noah Lebowitz and I am a second generation chiropractor/applied kinesiologist. Growing up I would often hearing stories from my father (Michael Lebowitz DC) regarding patients getting better from his treatment after having seen other DCs, NDs, DOs, the Mayo clinic, etc and not getting the help they needed. Patients suffered from chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, allergies, depression, headaches, migraines, and musculoskeletal issues, and would travel across the country to my father, where they then got better after years of suffering. Sadly one’s health is not just a quick fix where you can pop a pill and all clears up. Being trained in nutrition & diet, functional biochemistry, neurology, acupuncture, and applied kinesiology I have been taught to treat each and every patient as a whole person, and get to the root of what is causing their issue, not simply masking the problem with a quick “fix”, that really never fixes anything. While I am a doctor of chiropractic (DC) by license, I like to consider myself a Natural Health Physician. Growing up this was my healthcare, and I can count the times I’ve had to see to an allopathic doctor on one hand. Western/Allopathic Medicine was my “alternative medicine”, while I saw treatments in applied kinesiology as true healthcare. I believe that we are made to be healthy and not ill, and our body has amazing healing capabilities. Sadly our bodies are easily overloaded in today’s society with environmental toxins, harmful dietary habits, and other stressors that inhibit our bodies from reaching their full potential. This is where my job starts. I use Applied Kinesiology, specifically a method refined by my father, who has taught thousands of doctors across the world in how to get of the root of the issue in patients. I look to identify any potentially present stressors to the body such as microbial infections, food sensitivities, heavy metal toxicity, and musculoskeletal imbalances via thorough examination, Applied Kinesiology, and lab testing. Treating the patient as naturally as possible I try to eliminate any present stressors, without leaving you with many of the side effects of today’s prescription drugs. By removing these stressors I am allowing each and every person to reach their full potential. More often than not an injury is not what you think. An injured shoulder could be simply one of the rotator cuff muscles not firing correctly, and by restoring the neural pathway between the muscle and the brain, all issues can be resolved. In other cases you may be eating a food that you are unknowingly sensitive to, leading towards inflammation (and pain) in the shoulder. Be finding and removing the offenders the inflammation will go away. Or musculoskeletal issues can be caused by an accumulation in heavy metals, which can be fixed by using chelating agents to clear the body of the heavy metals. Dr. George Goodheart, the founder of Applied Kinesiology once said “anything can cause anything”, and that is the motto I follow in practice. That’s why each visit the patient will be examined for the cause of the issue, and treated accordingly. ——————————- I graduated Summa Cum Laude from chiropractic college at Parker University in 2014. Before attending Parker I went to Arizona State University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA with a degree in Biology. In 2009 I interned at Yale Medical School doing Ovarian Cancer Research at the Discovery to Cure Program. There I helped publish an article in the scientific journal Cell Cycle. At Parker I was president of the Applied Kinesiology Club, and become certified in Professional Applied Kinesiology in 2012 by the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK). I have taken hundreds of hours of seminar in Applied Kinesiology, functional biochemistry, and other healthcare topics. One motto I live by is “live what you teach, teach how you live”. That means I try to eat all organic whenever possible, for meat I get grass-fed beef or free-range chickens, try to minimize processed food intake, try to avoid refined sugar, don’t eat trans or hydrogenated fat, and exercise daily. After graduating school I married my wife, Hannah, who is a former professional tennis player coach. We both love exploring the outdoors and spending time in nature. After graduating I set up a successful practice in Scottsdale AZ while working with one of the top natural medicine doctors in Arizona, Dr. Jeff Robinson at AZ Multicare. My wife and I wanted to be closer to family and nature and recently decided to move to Maui

Aloha! My name is Dr. Haley Ann Nakamura! I grew up here, on the beautiful island of Maui. I’ve spent most of my childhood playing softball, while also enjoying time spent with my family. I graduated from Lahainaluna High School. While there, I focused on basketball and softball. I had the privilege and honor of continuing my softball career at New Mexico State University, while pursuing my degree in biology, hence graduating with a bachelors in 2018. I went on to attend Parker University in 2020. There, I discovered my passion for educating Native Hawaiian’s on how chiropractic care can make an impact on their health. This happened when my own health was at its lowest. After changing my health with the help of an Applied Kinesiology chiropractor, I noticed many similarities of how Hawaiians valued their health (before colonization). With the teachings of chiropractic, and mental wellbeing, I want to be the one to share it with the rest of Hawai’i and take part in redirecting the declining health of our people.

As a chiropractor, offering Maui chiropractic care, one of my main goals when treating a patient is to look at their pain/ dysfunction from a global perspective. The founder of Applied Kinesiology, Dr. George Goodheart, looked at a patient’s health using his method called, “The Triad of Health: Physical, Chemical, and Emotional”. I have also adopted this approach when treating patients. I’ll always address a patient’s body from a structural lens, however, if I do see that there are any chemical imbalances that could be hindering their recovery that could be contributing to their dysfunction, I’ll address it as well. The way I brainstorm, evaluate, and adjust patients, comes from the teachings of my mentor, Dr. JJ Gregor in Frisco, TX. He has been a diplomate in Applied Kinesiology since 2001 and has been teaching a 100-hr AK course for over 18 years. I have taken his 100 HR course three times and have spent over another 100 hours attending his adjusting courses over the span of 3 years. In my last trimester of chiropractic school, I interned with Dr. Joe Ford at Model Wellness in Farmers Branch, TX. Dr. Ford has worked with numerous athletes ranging from young kids to professional athletes. While at the clinic, I saw a range of female volleyball players, baseball players, ice skaters and gymnasts, with a combination of red-light laser therapy, soft tissue work, chiropractic adjustments and therapeutic exercises.

I graduated from Parker University in April, 2023. Now I have the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Michael and Noah Lebowitz, here in Pukalani. Both doctors are highly revered in the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK). They both have helped thousands of patients get back to optimal health, and have taught thousands of doctors around the world using their method called, “The Lebowitz Protocol” to get to the root-cause of a patient’s issues. While in school I was part of the ICAK club on campus and a part of a couple other clubs focusing on the art of the chiropractic adjustment.

When I’m not treating patients at the clinic, I’m either at the beach with my fiancé, Franky, or I’m at the field coaching young-girls softball with my mom and sister.
